Company & Project OverviewMyfuel Ltd was incorporated in January 2007 as the apex corporate vehicle responsible for the overall funding, planning and implementation of the goals and objectives envisioned by the founders of the enterprise. Two years earlier Biodiesel SP Sdn Bhd was established to undertake a feasibility study and establish a 100,000 MT per annum capacity Biodiesel plant. The required applications for government licenses, funding, selection of consultants, equipment manufacturers and suppliers were carried out and alternative plant sites identified and evaluated. In the third quarter of 2006, another Company, Biodiesel LD Sdn Bhd was formed, this time to establish a 250,000 MT per annum capacity plant. With Myfuel Ltd, the operations of both Biodiesel SP Sdn Bhd and Biodiesel LD Sdn Bhd were brought under common direction and control, resulting in the decision to achieve an integrated 350,000MT per annum production capacity, producing biodiesel and other by-products such as glycerin from a single site located at the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) in Malaysia. This is next to Malaysia’s principal port, Port Klang, which is located on the West Coast of central Peninsular Malaysia. This situates Myfuel’s operations close to palm oil plantations, refineries and other related facilities as well as Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, the nation’s commercial and administrative capitals.
